A bit of a summary of the trip so far, this will be Ireland only.
My bike was stored in Kinsale, near Cork, Ireland at a place called Motofeirme. The owner goes by the ADVRider.com name of WheatWacker. I was waiting at the bus stop to be picked up, he says he will be right there, and I see this coming down the street. With a name like WheatWacker, I was thinking, this could be my ride.
Unfortunately this was NOT my ride.

As in past trips, I will be traveling the first part with Special Agent Nancy (SAN). As my regular readers know, we traveled together in Scandinavia last year, and some New Zealand dirt roads earlier this year. Our traveling styles work out well, which is not an easy thing since we both have rather weird traveling styles. As with the other trips, everyone on ADVRider.com was saying there is no way we can do those kinds of miles in a day. Well, maybe they can't.
We are ready to head out.

Nancy's bike is the clean and shiny one.

Martin, aka WheatWacker named that big yellow combine Nancy, since he was transporting Nancy's bike when he found it.

I was in Ireland early to do a little work on the bike. I had more than intended. The oil in the bike looked like chocolate milk. A mechanic said it was probably just a little moisture from storage. I changed it, and it still looked bad, but I rode it anyway. It eventually cleared up. I think it was just a combination of a little moisture with this particular oil and never having looked at the oil with a bright white lite right after changing.

As usual, I won't get much into the details of where I went. There are tons of pics, and we went to tons of places, but I just don't see the details as important. Unless they are funny. THEN, you will get details.

We do a lot of what I call Drive By Touristing (DBT). We sometimes visit places without getting off the bikes. Sometimes we stop to walk around a bit, but not too much.
An old castle.

Most days we saw at least some rain, but there was also some sun each day.

SAN is none too happy with the grassy median on these highways. The speed limit here is 50 MPH!!!

The first of our Game of Toilets tour doors. We had a great conversation with the daughter of the owner of this pub. All the places that had these doors were very happy to have us, and stamped our special GOT Passports.

Some Fun with Coils. Guess which one is old and arcing? This could have stopped me for a month, but the incredible Triumph Dealer in Belfast found a way to shorten the wait for a part from one month to half a day. I can't thank Phillip McCallen Motorcycles of Lisburn, Northern Ireland enough. And for those that don't know, a coil is what makes a spark plug spark. If it doesn't work, then your engine doesn't work. Fortunately my Triumph is a three cylinder, so I was able to run on two.

The bike is now running GREAT. I had not realized how it had deteriorated. I had dropped it a few times last year after stalling it for unknown reasons. It turns out that it had not been running well. There had been some mis-firing from the engine, but it was also running poorly at slow speeds such as taking off or riding in traffic. MUCH better now. It is like a new bike. Of course, it has over 100,000 miles on it. I am hoping to hit 200,000 kilometers before heading back to the states in November.
Beautiful Beaches. Some of these have palm trees. I was told (not sure if true) that because of the gulf stream's warm waters, sometimes palm tree seeds land on shore and grow.
